MAC MASTERCLASS TIPS AND TRICKS

Our staff had the pleasure of attending a MAC Masterclass hosted by Dominic Skinner. Some of you may recognise him from BBC’s Glow Up Makeup series as a renowned makeup artist and Global Senior Artist for MAC Cosmetics!

Here are some of Dominic’s Top Tips;

Skin hydration and skin prep are key – this ensures makeup stays smooth and lasts longer. He recommended MAC’s Strobe Cream for an instant glow.

Customised coverage – Dominic recommends mixing different foundations (like full coverage and face and body foundation with a lighter finish) to create the perfect base for your skin type.

Sharp edges – use a small concealer brush to tidy up brows and liner for a defined, crisp look.

Our Bridal Hair and MUA students also visited MAC for a smoky glam masterclass, browse and test products and to top up their kits and skills at Fenwick’s Newcastle.

LEARNER OF THE MONTH

Lindsay has always loved taking inspiration from online creators and practicing makeup looks. When she saw Level 3 Makeup being advertised, she was drawn in by the ways learners expressed their creativity through makeup.

“Why not follow my passion? Life is too short!”
Her goal at the NBA was to be able to apply makeup flawlessly, to look more put together in her day to day life.

Lindsay has been so consistent in her attendance. Her work has progressed massively throughout the course and she has created fabulous, intriguing styles, alongside planning every step to perfection.
She feels confident in her technique and has continued to upskill in the beauty industry into Level 3 Bridal Hair and Makeup!

TRENDING SOAP NAILS

Apply two thin coats for a slightly opaque, soap vibe or three coats for a soft baby pink payoff!
