Overview of Laser Hair Removal Course
This course is ran over three consecutive days 9:30am – 2:30pm. Diode laser hair removal is a versatile and widely used treatment for hair reduction across different skin types. It uses the principle of photothermolysis, where laser light energy is absorbed by targeted chromophores (such as melanin in hair follicles) and converted into heat. This heat damages the hair follicle, inhibiting hair regrowth while sparing surrounding skin.
How Laser Hair Removal Works
- Targets melanin, the pigment in hair and skin, using specific wavelengths of light.
- Converts absorbed light energy into heat, damaging hair follicles.
- The laser wavelength and pulse duration are chosen to maximize effectiveness while protecting surrounding tissue.
- Suitable for different skin types and hair colours, depending on wavelength and settings.
