Welcome to The National Beauty Academy’s May Newsletter. As we step into this month lets embrace the opportunities to learn grow and invest in ourselves. We have a big announcement to make this month which we have been keeping quiet for quite a while! If you haven’t guessed it by now, NBA Online is finally on its way to the academy. So, this month you may be exploring our new online courses, pursuing a career in beauty, or seeking inspiration through our student spotlight, regardless, we’re here to support your journey. Student Spotlight
Hi! I’m Chanel and this is my student spotlight!
I have always had an interest in beauty from being young. I’ve been working as a hairstylist for 16 years now and I love what I do, but I wanted to extend my talent and learn new skills to offer more to my clients. I wanted to have a more hands on approach to my learning and being at NBA has given me that opportunity.
My favourite subject has been learning to do acrylic as it has really pushed me to build on my skills of application and precision.
I love NBA for how welcoming and friendly all the staff are originally, I came in as a model for Adele, when she was training and I was due to have a baby and after speaking to Adele and the tutor that’s when I decided to use my time of wisely and expand on my skill set.
My tutor Alicia is absolutely incredible at her job I feel like I have gained so much knowledge and confidence from being in her class and friends.
Doing this course is certainly a stepping stone towards what I want to be doing in the future, I will be continuing on to do the combined beauty course after I have completed my training in nails.
I would like to thank Alicia for all the knowledge and encouragement that she has given me as this has given me so much confidence within myself, and all the staff at NBA for giving me this opportunity to expand on my skills and knowledge and can’t wait to learn more from yourselves in the future!
