Level 3 Highfield Award in Education and Training (AET)

This qualification covers the foundations of teaching and training and includes the following units:

  • Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training

Level 3 Highfield Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA)

This qualification focuses on assessing learners in vocational settings and includes:

  • Understanding the principles and practices of assessment

  • Assess occupational competence in the work environment

  • Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding

Course Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or over

  • Must hold a Level 3 diploma in at least one beauty-related subject, such as:

    • Combined Beauty Therapy

    • Make-Up Artistry

    • Nail Technology

    • Massage Therapy (or equivalent)

Course Structure & Assessment

To complete the combined qualification, you will be required to:

  • Complete 6 written assignments

  • Undertake 8 observations, which will include:

    • Micro-teach

    • Marketing activities

    • Assessing learners

  • Shadow qualified assessors at the Academy, supporting them while learning on the job

  • Complete home study

  • Attend 4 half-days of classroom-based theory

Combined AET & CAVA Qualification:

  • £954 including VAT

This course runs for between 6 and 12 months. Completion time depends on the learner and, in some cases, the course may be completed in less than 6 months, with a maximum duration of 12 months.
